Human Resources Assistant

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Director of Human Resources

Work Days:  240,  Salary shall be paid consistent on the System’s approved salary schedule

 

Job Goal:  The primary role of the Human Resources Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Human Resources area, maintain personnel records and contribute to the operational success of the Human Resources Department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent required.  Two years of college preferred.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years Human Resources experience in a public school setting preferred.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  4. Must have excellent communication and telephone etiquette.  The ability to work successfully with other staff members, employees and the public.
  5. Must be able to perform responsibilities with a sense of urgency to meet the needs of others; respond to solve problems and willing to accept a variety of tasks to perform.
  6. Must be detailed oriented, well organized and have the ability to manage time and multiple projects to achieve required results.
  7. Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Superintendent of Schools find appropriate and acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Physical Requirements:

       Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including:

       Light work:  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10           pounds as  needed to move objects.

 

       Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Human Resources.
