MS-Head Baseball Coach-

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of T-4 to T-7 certification from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
• Must be a certified teacher on staff with the Liberty County School System
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of baseball
• Experience coaching and playing baseball preferred
• Knowledge of middle school governing rules and regulations 
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find acceptable and appropriate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of a successful middle school Baseball program 
• The Middle School Head Baseball Coach is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game, supervising, and leading the student athletes
• Communicate effectively with the students, parents, and administrators regarding practice times, games schedule, and any last minute changes
• Positive Role model  
• Oversee logistics and travel, as supervised by the Athletic Director.
• Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide team development
• Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury
• Enforce student discipline during athletic contests, to include encouraging sportsmanlike conduct during athletic participation
• Works effectively with high school level coaches to coordinate a feeder program for baseball
• Abide by all rules and regulations to run the baseball program and feeder program
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintenedent of Schools and/or Principal
