MS-Head Baseball Coach-
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of T-4 to T-7 certification from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
- Must be a certified teacher on staff with the Liberty County School System
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of baseball
- Experience coaching and playing baseball preferred
- Knowledge of middle school governing rules and regulations
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find acceptable and appropriate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of a successful middle school Baseball program
- The Middle School Head Baseball Coach is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the game, supervising, and leading the student athletes
- Communicate effectively with the students, parents, and administrators regarding practice times, games schedule, and any last minute changes
- Positive Role model
- Oversee logistics and travel, as supervised by the Athletic Director.
- Develop a regular practice schedule and organize practice time to provide team development
- Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury
- Enforce student discipline during athletic contests, to include encouraging sportsmanlike conduct during athletic participation
- Works effectively with high school level coaches to coordinate a feeder program for baseball
- Abide by all rules and regulations to run the baseball program and feeder program
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintenedent of Schools and/or Principal
